Modern Warfare 3 opens at the end of Modern Warfare 2 with the US fighting Russian forces on the ground in America. Vladimir Makarov is back, and Captain John “Soap” MacTavish and Captain John Price are wounded and “on the run” with Russian informant Nikolai.
The trio is hiding out in a safehouse in Dharmasala, India, where they are attacked by Makarov’s men, where players will take on the role of Yuri, a loyalist who works for Nikolai. As the safehouse becomes compromised, the men flee in a helicopter.
After this, the game takes players into Manhattan where Russia is attacking with ships stationed in the Hudson River. To counter this, the US calls in Delta Force where players step into the role of Frost, a Delta Force operative Sandman’s command which is ordered to take a tower on top of the Stock Exchange building.
After this, you’ll fly over the city in a Blackhawk, gun down enemy choppers, and fly out to the Hudson where you must sink a Russian sub that is “cooredinating the attacks.”
Call of Duty Modern Warfare defined a completely new way of online gaming by mixing FPS with RPG elements. A new arcade series was born that brought fast paced, breathtaking and fast online matches to the gamers worldwide. The MW series games were always a huge success and were highly anticipated by their fan base. Even if the story–line was very thrilling and continued with every game of the trilogy, multiplayer has been the core since the beginning of the whole CoD universe.
Modern Warfare 3 doesn’t change much about the above mentioned aspecst of how people experience CoD. The develiopers goal was to provide the best Modern Warfare multiplayer experience. They strived to improve many details instead of shake up the base.
Gamers rank up until level 80 and can enter 10 prestige modes and can unlock tons of weapons which now have their own leveling system to unlock weapons perks and attachments. The eight part and end of the Modern Warfare trilogy of the Call of Duty series, brings the story around Cpt. Price & Spt. “Soap” MacTavish (former US Task Force 141) and the hunt after Makarov to an breathtaking end. The game was developed by Infinity Ward and additionally by Sledgehammer Games.
The player assumes the role of additional characters such as Frost (US Delta Squad), Yuri (ex-Spetsnaz) and Sgt. Marcus Burns (SAS operative). Most of the time the player will take control over Yuri and in the missions between hunting Makarov you’ll switch perspectives with the soldiers named above to see the war from different sides. At the last missions Delta Squad and Task Force 141 team up to rescue the daughter of the Russian president and to gather information about Makarovs hideout.
The game takes the player to various locations such as Berlin, Paris, Sierra Leone and London. Levels are built like tunnels and the developers created a lot of matching scripts to increase the action share of the game like in former MW games. The gameplay and HUD is the same as in MW2 and...
