Rage plays in a post-apocalyptic, bleak future after an asteroid hot earth. The player wakes up 100 years after the impact, he was frozen in a survival capsule that the world before had sunk into the earth to assure the existent of the human race. Right after you leave the capsule you're getting attacked by two mutants, but get saved by a local men. He tells you about the „Authority“ and that they're searching survivors from these capsules. The player has a lot of questions at the beginning, but alt east now it's clear that the „Authority“ are the bad guys. At least that's what the game makes you believe in every corner of the world. The underground movement tries to recrute you in order to fight this bad regime. The problem is that the player never really sees this „bad“ Authority and so has no motivation to plunge it....
