Recently, the “Runes of Magic” team introduced two new servers: Reni for PVE, and Indigo for PVP. These servers were made to help handle the influx of new players the Chapter 2 release, The Elven Prophecy, will undoubtedly bring -- and Frogster offered contests to help build playerbases on them. The first to build a guild castle, and also the first person to make it to level cap, were rewarded with great in-game prizes and diamond shop items.

So what, exactly, is “Runes of Magic Chapter 2: The Elven Prophecy?” The second chapter in the MMORPG will herald the arrival of the Elf race to the land of Tabora. In addition, there will be two new playable classes and more than 200 new quests. The level cap will also be raised to 55, and gamers will be introduced new regions.

The three new zones will be: Aotulia Volcano, Weeping Coast, and the Elven Island. The huge fire bathed, volcanic area Aotulia Volcano is about the size of Sascilia, Steppes, and the Dragonfang Ridge combined. The Weeping Coast is covered in a rainforest and swamp region, and can be found along the eastern coast of Tabora. The Elven Island acts a new starter zone, as well as the home of the Elven leadership.

Speaking of Elves, what do we know about the Elves in this MMORPG, and what will they bring to it?

The Elves are Tabora’s oldest race, living in the vast undisturbed forests on an island off the eastern shore of the Ravenfell zone. The Elf kingdom was originally in the Aslan Valley, but they were forced out during the primeval battle with demons. Prince Isnasil led a sect of elves away from the conflict to area they occupy today. Elf lore calls the Aslan Valley “The Origin.”

The Elf craftsmen have been known to create weapons at or near the metalworking skills of the Dwarves. Elf weapons are much more aesthetically pleasing, however, and have impressive damage attributes. The weapons of choice for Elven fighters are the long sword and the long bow.

Elves have learned to use nature’s magic, and to use natural resources to make them powerful. Nature is also the basis for the MMORPG’s new classes, Druid and Warden.

Druids gather the forces of nature, while the Wardens act as the guardians of it.

The druid class is really the priest of the Elves -- but with the use of nature magic they have some of the abilities of a mage. Druids can take the power of nature and increase, or buff, the ability they wish to use. Druids can concentrate on whether they wish to use healing spells or use magic to unleash devastating destruction. Druids in the MMORPG will also have damage over time spells in their arsenal.

The warden class is the protector of nature. During times of peace, they protect the forests which they call home. The wardens have learned to communicate with the plant life, and have the ability to summon nature spirits to accompany them in their explorations. The wardens are adept in close and ranged combat, and along with their companions they will make a formidable class.
