Operation Black Ice

Continue the Siege with our first major content update, Operation Black Ice, which gives you access to the new Yacht map, two new JTF2 operators, new weapon skins, a spectator camera on all platforms and more.

TWO NEW OPERATORS

  • DEF : FROST
  • ATK : BUCK

JTF2 operators are trained to work under extreme conditions, where over-reliance on electronic devices can be your doom.
Operators have immediate and exclusive access granted to Season Pass holders for seven days,
before being made available for all players to unlock with Renown or R6 Credits.

TRAVEL TO THE ARCTIC

In the Baffin Bay, a luxury yacht has crashed into an iceberg breaching the hull. Rainbow has been sent to secure the stranded vessel as an unidentified submarine has docked near the vessel.
The new Yacht map is available for free to all players.

NEW SEASONAL WEAPON SKINS

Each season brings its load of new weapon skins, such as the JTF2 skin, USA winter camo and Dwyer Hill. Weapon skins can be purchased either with Renown or R6 Credits: check the Store in the game to see all new skins on offer.

Additionally, the Black Ice weapon skin is exclusively for sale with R6 Credits for the duration of Season One and can be applied to all weapons in your arsenal.

NEW FEATURE

SPECTATOR CAMERA ONLINE (CUSTOM GAMES ONLY)
The Spectator Camera is now available online on all platforms and the keyboard/mouse controls have been integrated for PC.
Players can now create 5v5 multiplayer custom games on with an 11th player acting as an observer in real time.
We have also integrated some visual feedbacks for the Spectator Camera in this update, with the goal of helping the viewer better understand the ongoing action while watching gameplay.
To learn more about the Spectator camera, watch this video.
We hope the Spectator Cam will not only make matches fun to watch, but also help players learn more about our game.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is the upcoming installment of the acclaimed first-person shooter franchise developed by the renowned Ubisoft Montreal studio.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege invites players to master the art of destruction. Intense close quarters confrontations, high lethality, tactics, team play, and explosive action are at the center of the experience. The gameplay sets a new bar for intense firefights and expert strategy in the rich legacy of past Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six games.

Key Features

THE SIEGE GAMEPLAY
For the first time in Rainbow Six, players will engage in sieges, a brand-new style of assault. Enemies now have the means to transform their environments into strongholds: they can trap, fortify, and create defensive systems to prevent breach by Rainbow teams.

To face this challenge, players have a level of freedom unrivaled by any previous Rainbow Six game. Combining tactical maps, observation drones, and a new rappel system, Rainbow teams have more options than ever before to plan, attack, and diffuse these situations.

COUNTER TERRORIST UNITS
Counter terrorist operatives are trained to handle extreme situations, such as hostage rescue, with surgical precision. As “short range” specialists, their training is concentrated on indoor environments. Operating in tight formations, they are experts of close quarter combat, demolition, and coordinated assaults. Rainbow Six Siege will include operators coming from five of the most worldwide renowned CTU: the British SAS, the American SWAT, the French GIGN, the German GSG9 and the Russian SPETSNAZ.

These Operators are specialists with their own expertise within Siege operations. Each has their own unique personality & specialty. Some are focused on assault where as others are defense-oriented. They can be combined within the same team to create new team strategies.

PROCEDURAL DESTRUCTION
Destruction is at the heart of the siege gameplay. Players now have the unprecedented ability to destroy environments. Walls can be shattered, opening new lines of fire, and ceiling and floors can be breached, creating new access points. Everything in the environment reacts realistically, dynamically, and uniquely based on the size and caliber of bullets you are using or the amount of explosives you have set. In Rainbow Six Siege, destruction is meaningful and mastering it is often the key to victory.

A bit late on giving out the key this time, but overall great service.

The new Rainbox Six Siege is basically awesome. The maps are very small, and the game is very intensive all the time. The game engine make it possible to blow up almost any wall, some specific places of the floor/roof every door and window and those inner wall that r not possible to blow a part can be made full of shooting holes.

There is 5 players max in one team. And every player needs to pick up different class. Every class (they r called operators in game) have their special ability and most of them have different weapons. This make the game even more interesting since there is no one master race like medic which every one would pick. If one player picks up the medic its not able to other team mates. Every weapon is also customizable with optics, silencers etc...

The basic idea is that the one team is defend the objective in the building and the other is trying to attack and capture or blow up the objective. Both team have one minute pregame time to set up defenses and traps and other team is spying the building with little spy robots by the same time the defending team is setting things up. When approx one min is over the actual round starts and the attacking team should now have some kind of idea what is waiting for them in there and make a quick plan and start going forward. The defending team can still put up last barricades up even the attacking team is on the move already, because normally they don't make it to the object by blowing up only one wall or window.

There is possibility to play the game in 5 vs 5 online casual, online ranked then 5 players versus AI bots (more than five) and the "hardcore" mode you alone versus many bots.

I have played everything between small COD maps to huge ARMA maps but never any of the Rainbow Six game series. And this game was very positive surprice for me even the maps are smaller than in the COD. I highly recommend to watch out some pro level gaming from youtube by IGN 30min review of this game. It shows very good how much fun the game is when u have all your 5 friends in voice chat and know some tactics.
