Released on 30-Sep-2011
For the first time ever, FIFA Soccer 12 on PC features the award-winning gameplay and modes identical to PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360®, powered by the all-new Player Impact Engine.
FIFA Soccer 12 brings to the pitch the game-changing new Player Impact Engine, a physics engine built to deliver real-world physicality in every interaction on the pitch. Experience the way real-world players challenge each other for the ball, win possession, and test each other physically. Enjoy an infinite variety of natural and believable outcomes in every collision. Players feel more resilient, push and pull during the fight for possession, and recover from light challenges more easily.
Revolutionary gameplay innovations make FIFA Soccer 12 deeper and more engaging. All-new Precision Dribbling creates a higher fidelity of touch on the ball for better control in tight spaces, more time to make decisions on attack, and more control over the pace of the game. Innovations in attack are balanced by a re-designed defending mechanism, making it as skilful and meaningful as real-world football. With all-new Tactical Defending, positioning and intercepting passes are as important as tackling. Tactics and timing are crucial. Plus, CPU players have been infused with Pro Player Intelligence, a self-awareness that enables them to behave and make decisions based on their own skills and tendencies, and gives them the aptitude to understand the strengths and weaknesses of teammates in every situation.
Introducing EA SPORTS Football Club—the heartbeat of FIFA Soccer 12—a live service connecting players to the real-world game with fresh, new content all the time, enabling them to support their favorite club and connect and compete with their friends, rivals and millions of other players around the world.
Player Impact Engine—Two years in development, the new physics engine is built to deliver real-world physicality in every interaction on the pitch. Experience an infinite variety of natural and believable outcomes in every contact. Amazon admit that "there are no official prices announced for Xbox One products. The price stated above is a placeholder," adding that if the price drops, you pay the price at the time of release.
That said, this seems to be Amazons price prediction for the UK, even if it might be slightly higher than the official release price.
With a troubled announcement plagued by analysis of its 24 hour always on refresh policy, and Microsoft's attempt to monopolize the pre-owned market, people are asking whether or not this entertainment-centric system is even built primarily for gaming. Controversy surrounding Kinect purportedly monitoring heart-rate and skin-flush is also in the spotlight, with people questioning exactly why one system needs so many gimmicks that don't necessarily pertain to gaming.
Microsoft haven't yet announced the official price for the base box, but they are all rumored to come with the new updated Kinect sensor - good news for anyone suffering from heart problems.
Analysis
It's not clear whether or not this is a cogent estimation or a wild stab in the dark, but it seems closer to a reasonable price than if it were a stab in the dark. 450 for the system and 150 for the Kinect bar seems to make some sense, but if Microsoft will be selling the systems at a loss, we should see a price substantially lower. Amazon have listed Sony's console at the same price, but I think it's safe to assume that the price of both consoles reflects an estimation of the higher priced unit - priced identically so's to avoid market bias.
